Alzheimer's develops more quickly in people with higher educations than in less educated people. Although highly educated people typically are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease later in life than less educated people - probably because they can compensate for the memory loss for a longer time - once the disease becomes apparent, they loose their memory at a faster rate. Merchants that accept Visa and Mastecard cannot require a minimum purchase in order to use those cards. Card companies want their cards to be used for purchases of any size.
